Myersville Volunteer Fire Company NEEDS Volunteers

The Myersville Volunteer Fire Company was organized in 1925 and since has served our community with pride and dedication.

What makes the Myersville Volunteer Fire Company one of the most valuable resources of the community is its dedicated volunteers.  They place their lives at risk in order to save ours.   Their services are based on extensive and continuous training, high tech equipment, teamwork, and maintaining on-going competence certification.

The Fire Company is always in need of volunteers to help the membership.  Feel free to email mfh328@verizon.net for more information on joining.  Many spots are available such as drivers, EMT's, firefighters, administrators, fundraisers, chefs etc.  Thanks for considering us.

Myersville VFC Sportsman's Calendar Raffle AVAILABLE ALL OF 2008.....

The Myersville Volunteer Fire Company, along with many other organizations, is once again offering Gun Calendars. The 2008 calendar is available for a $30 donation per calendar. The winner will be determined by the Maryland State Lottery Evening Pick 4 number (straight). (This calendar offer is in no way affiliated with the Maryland State Lottery.)

When you buy a calendar, you will find a four-digit number on the back cover that is good for a period of one year. This means that you can win as many times during the year that your particular number is drawn on the Evening Pick 4. To win, the number must be exact. If you win, you may take the gun for that day or a pre-set dollar amount. The gun and the allotted amount of money are printed on each day of the calendar. Winners will be notified by mail by the first week of the next month. Calendars can be purchased at the Myersville Volunteer Fire Company.

For answers to your questions, contact Denny Grossnickle at 301-293-1055. If you have purchased calendars in previous years, you may contact your last seller for more information or to purchase the 2008 calendar.

Myersville VFC Chief Resigns....  The Chief of the Myersville Volunteer Fire Company has resigned.  President Hinkle read the letter of resignation at the March 31st Board of Directors.  President Hinkle states,

"it is with regrets that I have to inform you that Chief Wayne Neal has decided to resign his position. The everyday demands were just to great and Chief Neal wouldn't do a job half way.  We wish him and his family good health and good luck and look forward to the day that they can come and help with our fundraiser's.
If you see Chief Neal please wish him well.  Deputy Chief Rick Breeze will fill the Chief position until he and his officers decide how they want to proceed in the future. We wish them well  and we will work with them as they find it necessary.  All future communications for the chief should be addressed to Rick.Breeze."
